Oscar “Panew” Cleveland, 90, a native and resident of Raceland, peacefully departed this life on Monday, December 25, 2017.

Visiting will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2017 from 10am until the hour of service at 11am at Morning Star Baptist Church in Raceland. Burial in the church cemetery.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his sons, Oscar Jr., Stanley (Michelle), Albert and Reynald Cleveland, Victor Dickerson, Kip and Kaywood Bryant, stepsons, Herman and Marvin Harris; daughters, Dorothy Mae Triggs, Enola Smith (Michael), Edna Sims, Bernadette Bergeron (Ronald), Ethel Shelvy (Brian) and Donna Smith; 44 grandchildren, 74 great grandchildren and 28 great great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his wife, Sadie Cleveland, Parents, Ada and Lawrence Cleveland; son, Lionel Cleveland, brothers, George, Morris, Morrell Cleveland and Samuel Charles; sisters, Evelina Wilson, Lizzie, Sedonia, Lillian and Gertrude Cleveland and Edna Harries.

Kennedy Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
